Isfahan is without a doubt the most elegant, the stateliest and the most agreeable of the cities of Persia. Rare and precious carpets from this period are now kept in the museums all over the world.
Very fine well-knotted carpets are still being made in Isfahan today. Medallions are the most popular motifs, however, animals and flowers are also used. They are one of the finest rugs coming out of Iran now and are very popular among the lovers of Classical Persian Carpets. The most reputable weavers of Isfahan rugs are Seirafian, Haghighi and Shoreshi.
